Echoes Of Water

The 12-piece photography series Echoes of Water was photographed in January 2010 at a swimming hall that has had been out of use for the previous two years. At the time of closing the building discontinued being a public place. That itself questions present function of the space. The passing of time is strongly presence on every surface. The absence of human makes it even more visible. In the photographs closed and abandoned place becomes a private space, almost like a state of mind. The series is a conversation between a woman and a place. The lack of water is obvious but it appears not only in a physical way but also on a level of idea.
